As a behavioral health provider, People Inc. offers counseling and educational programs focused on addiction recovery, anger management, and parenting skill development. Headquartered in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, People Inc. has offered its outpatient care to the eastern Oklahoma community for almost 40 years.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 6, 2023, People Inc. discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, People Inc. determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between March 2 and March 6, 2023. Recently, People Inc. began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Care Plan
  • Scheduling and billing information
