Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Amtel, LLC, which does business as Connectivity Source, regarding its recent data breach. The Connectivity Source data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 17,800 individuals.

ABOUT AMTEL, LLC D/B/A CONNECTIVITY SOURCE:

Amtel, LLC d/b/a Connectivity Source is a wireless services company operating as a retailer for T-Mobile. As a retail partner for T-Mobile, Connectivity Source acts as a T-Mobile store front offering wireless phones, connected tablets, home phone services, smart watches, and other wirelessly connected devices. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Connectivity Source has hundreds of locations across the United States.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On April 21, 2023, Connectivity Source discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Connectivity Source determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on April 19, 2023. On May 10, 2023, Connectivity Source began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
