Founded by Dr. Monzer Yazji, ASAS Health’s facilities are equipped with a rehabilitation center, x-ray imaging, and lab center. Headquartered in Edinburg, Texas, ASAS Health has locations in South McAllen, Texas and Jackson, Texas.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 8, 2023, ASAS Health discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, ASAS Health determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on January 26, 2023. On May 8, 2023, ASAS Health began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of information impacted has not been identified by ASAS Health. However, the general types of information that might have been involved include:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Health plan carrier information
  • Financial information
