Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, DCI Engineers has 22 locations across 10 states and employs over 350 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On February 20, 2023, DCI Engineers discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, DCI Engineers determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between February 18 and February 21, 2023. On April 21, 2023, DCI Engineers began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information has not been made publicly available by DCI Engineers. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial information
  • Medical information
  • Taxpayer information
  • Personal identification number issued by the United States IRS
