Point32Health is a health care company offering health care plans to individuals in the New England area. Founded in 2021, Point32Health provides medical insurance as Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, which were founded in 1969 and 1979 respectively. Point32Health is headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts, and employs approximately 1,500 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On April 17, 2023, Point32Health experienced a data breach in which the sensitive information in its systems may have been accessed. Point32Health disclosed on its website that it suffered a ransomware attack that impacted the system it uses to service members, accounts, brokers, and providers. Though much information is still unknown, Point32Health and its Harvard Pilgrim Health Care systems offline to contain the threat.
