WHAT HAPPENED?
On January 29, 2023, Atlantic General Hospital discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Atlantic General Hospital determined that an unauthorized actor accessed this sensitive information between January 20 and January 29, 2023. On March 24, 2023, Atlantic General Hospital began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license number
- Financial account information
- Health insurance information
- Medical information (e.g., record number, subscriber number, medical history, physician name, diagnosis or treatment information)
