WHAT HAPPENED?
In December 2021, Veris Residential discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Veris Residential determined that an unauthorized actor accessed this sensitive information through employee email accounts between November 12 and December 22, 2021. On February 28, 2023, Veris Residential began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Financial account number
