Cleveland Brothers Data Breach Investigation

Headquartered in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, Cleveland Brothers operates 28 branch offices and 66 total facilities, primarily centered around the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On November 5, 2022, Cleveland Brothers discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Cleveland Brothers determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between November 3 and November 5, 2022. On February 17, 2023, Cleveland Brothers began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Social Security number
