Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Gries Financial Partners regarding its recent data breach. The Gries Financial Partners data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

Gries Financial Partners is an investment and wealth management firm that caters to a select group of high-net-worth individuals and institutions. Accordingly, Gries Financial Partners offers a variety of financial products and services, including endowments and foundations. Founded in 1978, Gries Financial Partners works with clients to help them attain their financial goals. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Gries Financial Partners operates 2 satellite offices and conducts business across the globe. Gries Financial Partners employs 27 individuals and has an annual revenue of over $5 million.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 12, 2022, Gries Financial Partners discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Gries Financial Partners determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through two employees’ email accounts between September 8 and October 11, 2022. On February 10, 2023, Gries Financial Partners began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Address
  • Financial account information
