Astera Cancer Center Data Breach Investigation

Furthermore, Astera Cancer Care promotes clinical trials for a variety of cancer therapies, operating one of the only CAR-T cell therapy platforms in the United States. Headquartered in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Astera Cancer Care operates 18 oncology, radiation, and breast surgery locations in New Jersey.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Astera Cancer Care discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. After conducting its investigation, Astera Cancer Care notified the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that it experienced a data breach. On November 4, 2022, Astera Cancer Care began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted.
