WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Vellum Mortgage discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Vellum Mortgage disclosed that the breach was a ransomware attack on its systems. Through its investigation, Vellum Mortgage determined an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information belonging to its customers.
