WHAT HAPPENED?
On January 20, 2022, Scoular discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and obtained. Through its investigation, Scoular determined that an unauthorized actor accessed and acquired this sensitive information by obtaining files with confidential data from its internal network. On October 10, 2022, Scoular began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license number
- Passport number
- Health insurance information
- Financial information (e.g., account number)
- Medical information
