The Coeur Group Data Breach Investigation

Additionally, The Coeur Group offers a calming and relaxing atmosphere for patients wishing to undergo counseling in its office. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, The Coeur Group employs seven mental health professionals with a diverse range of specializations.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On July 26, 2022, The Coeur Group discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, The Coeur Group determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through an employee email account between June 7 and July 12, 2022. On September 26, 2022, The Coeur Group began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Health insurance information
  • Credit card information
  • Medical information (e.g., diagnosis or medical condition information, provider name)
