BOK Financial Data Breach Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, BOKF’s mailing services vendor, Newcourse Communications, Inc., discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and obtained. Through its investigation, Newcourse Communications determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information, including sensitive information belonging to BOKF customers, between April 27 and May 3, 2022. On September 6, 2022, BOKF began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Account number
  • Address
