Currently, VisionWeb Holdings conducts business with a variety of eyecare specialists and actors, including opticians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, optical manufacturers, laboratories, and distributors. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, VisionWeb Holdings employs more than 50 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, VisionWeb Holdings discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, VisionWeb Holdings determined that an unknown actor may have accessed this sensitive information. On October 7, 2022, VisionWeb Holdings began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Passport number
  • Health insurance information
  • Medical information
