WHAT HAPPENED?

On September 1, 2023, BHI Energy discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, BHI Energy determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between May 30, 2023, and July 7, 2023. On October 18, 2023, BHI Energy began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address 
  • Health information
