Radiology Ltd. is a diagnostic medical imaging company providing outpatient services for southern Arizona. Since its founding in 1933, Radiology Ltd. has grown to offer interventional radiology, wide-bore MRI alternatives, CT and PET scans, ultrasounds, and dual-ray and regular X-rays. Today, Radiology Ltd. contracts with two hospitals to provide 24/7 service and operates ten diagnostic centers, as well as two women’s imaging centers. Headquartered in Tucson, Arizona, Radiology Ltd. employs more than 400 individuals, including 43 radiologists with specializations ranging from musculoskeletal imaging to neuroradiology.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On December 24, 2021, Radiology Ltd. discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Radiology Ltd. determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between December 17 and December 24, 2021. On September 2, 2022, Radiology Ltd. began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Health insurance information
  • Medical information (e.g., account number, record number, dates of service, physician name)
