Atlas MedStaff is a staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in working with travel nurses. Founded in 2011, Atlas MedStaff aims to assign travel nurses to vacant nursing positions in clinics and hospitals throughout the United States. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Atlas MedStaff employs over 1,000 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 21, 2021, Atlas MedStaff experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Atlas MedStaff determined that it had experienced a data breach in which an unknown actor may have gained access to this sensitive information between October 15 and October 21, 2021. On August 5, 2022, Atlas MedStaff began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Medical information
