WHAT HAPPENED?

On July 4, 2022, SHI International discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its system may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, SHI International determined an unauthorized actor may have acquired data relating to SHI International’s employees over the July 4th weekend through a malware attack. On July 22, 2022, SHI International began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Banking and loan information
  • COVID-19 vaccination and illness status
  • Tax information
  • Dates of employment and salary
