InnerWorkings utilizes its proprietary technology and an extensive supplier network to procure, manage, and deliver print and promotional products to companies. In October 2020, HH Global acquired Chicago-based InnerWorkings. Headquartered in London, England, HH Global also has regional headquarters in Chicago, Mexico City, and Hong Kong. HH Global was founded in 1991 and has over 3,300 employees.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On September 30, 2021, InnerWorkings discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its system may have been accessed. InnerWorkings disclosed that the data breach was a ransomware attack that impacted servers in the United States. On Recently, InnerWorkings began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license number
- Passport number
- Mailing address
