WellDyne Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating WellDyneRx, LLC, regarding a recent data breach. According to a notice on WellDyne’s website, the data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information belonging to over 38,000 individuals.

ABOUT WELLDYNERX, LLC:

WellDyne is a pharmacy benefit management company servicing clients and members. WellDyne’s pharmacy offers pharmaceutical care for specialty and complex matters such as oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, diabetes, COPD, and opioids. With locations in Lakeland, Florida, and Centennial, Colorado, WellDyne’s clients include employers, hospitals and health systems, unions, state and local governments, and health plans. Founded in 1990, WellDyne specializes in mail order pharmacy, central fill, clinical expertise, and adherence programs.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On December 2, 2021, WellDyne experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information of their clients may have been accessed between October 30, 2021, and November 11, 2021. On May 26,2022, WellDyne began providing notice to individuals impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Treatment information
  • Health insurance information
  • Contact Information
  • Prescription information
  • Medical/health information
