ATC Healthcare Services is a healthcare staffing and healthcare franchising company located in Queens, New York. ATC Healthcare Services provides staffing services to hospitals, residential care programs, health departments, school systems, and medical groups. ATC Healthcare Services operates by creating hiring programs with healthcare facilities and recruiting healthcare professionals. ATC Healthcare Services was founded in 1982 and has over 10,000 employees.    

WHAT HAPPENED?

On December 22, 2021, ATC Healthcare Services discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information of individuals in its system may have been accessed. Through an investigation, ATC Healthcare Services determined that its system had been breached at various times between February 9, 2021, and December 22, 2021. In early July 2022, ATC Healthcare Services began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Financial account information
  • Username and password
  • Passport numbers
  • Biometric data
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
  • Electronic/digital signatures
  • Employer-assigned identification numbers
